Nualjun Kitvarayut is a geoscientist with over 30 years of subsurface experience across Thailand, Indonesia, and the United States. She holds a B.Sc. in Geology from Chiang Mai University, and has completed the Chevron Asia Pacific Leadership Development Program at INSEAD Business School, Singapore, and the CAPEP Women's Petrotech Leadership Program at IMD Singapore. Her expertise lies in qualitative and quantitative geological data analysis and reserve estimation for petroleum and coal resources, supporting both short- and long-term reservoir development planning.
Nualjun began her career as a project contractor on the Heat Treatment of Gemstone project at the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (1989–1991), before transitioning to coal exploration geology at Banpu as Geologist and Geo-Modeller, overseeing domestic and international coal exploration and development (1992–1999), including involvement in Clean Coal Technology projects.
She then moved into petroleum, serving as Field Geologist for the Erawan gas field with Unocal Thailand (2000–2003), Field Geologist for the Attaka petroleum field in Indonesia with Unocal (2003–2005), and Senior Geologist for the Attaka field with Chevron Indonesia (2005–2006). She subsequently relocated to the United States as Earth Scientist for Diatomite reservoir development at the Cymric Heavy Oil field in Bakersfield, California, with Chevron USA (2007–2012).
Returning to Thailand, Nualjun served as Earth Scientist Team Leader overseeing Water Flooding and Reservoir Management across multiple Gulf of Thailand fields — Platong, Plamuk, Surat, Kaphong, Yungthong, North Kung, and Yala (2013–2016). She was then promoted to Geology Manager, overseeing geological operations for Chevron Thailand petroleum fields in the Gulf of Thailand (2016–2021), and most recently served as Senior Advisor for the Thailand-Cambodia Overlapping Claims Area (TCOCA) Fast Track project and the 24th Petroleum Exploration Bid Round, Block G2/65 (2022–2023).
